BTEC 2 Award Community Safety Casework
Course Introduction
The ability to successfully deal with community safety & ASB issues requires competence in undertaking casework effectively. This involves investigating cases of antisocial behaviour, the implementation of strategies or interventions to resolve the issues and the provision of appropriate advice to victims. This course will provide learners with knowledge of how to investigate antisocial behaviour & community safety issues, how to record the progress of an investigation whilst implementing an escalating series of appropriate responses until the situation is resolved and what community safety related advice to give. The course will additionally provide community safety advice on preventative and protection strategies.
Course total learning hours
Delivered over 4 online sessions:
- 6 hours of self-study (pre-read)
- 12 hours of online tuition
- Assignment to be completed on the final session
